Chocolate Oreo ball cookies ingredients
- 30 Oreos(plus 4 more, crushed for topping, if desired)
- 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 16 oz of milk or dark chocolate
Chocolate Oreo ball cookies recipe
- Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper.
- Place 30 Oreos in a food processor and pulse until they are finely ground.
- Pour the cookie crumbs in a bowl.
- Add the cream cheese to the bowl, then mix it with a spatula until it’s well combined.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture, and roll it into a ball about 1 inch in diameter. Arrange the balls on the prepared cookie sheet.
- Place the cookie sheet in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. In the meantime, crush the remaining 4 Oreos and melt the chocolate in your microwave or a double-boiler (melting details).
- Remove the balls from the freezer and dip them one at a time in the melted, tempered chocolate. Use a chocolate dipping fork if you have one, otherwise, a regular fork will do. You can also use a spoon to pour chocolate over the top of each ball Allow excess chocolate to run off before transferring them back to the cookie sheet.
- If you want to top them with crushed Oreos, make sure to do that before the chocolate has a chance to set.
- Once you have finished dipping all the Oreo balls, t, it’s time to dive in and enjoy.
- Store any leftovers (seriously?!?) in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
